1.Carbon Dioxide Production Process Overview:
Currently, carbon dioxide (CO2) used in soda and beer production mainly comes from fermentation CO2 (C02) (produced during alcohol fermentation), chemical plant waste CO2 (CO2), and CO2 produced by acid-base reactions. For remote or industrially less developed areas, the acid-base reaction method is commonly used to produce CO2. The principle of CO2 production by acid-base neutralization involves a chemical reaction between citric acid (C6H8O7) and sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) to produce carbon dioxide gas (CO2), as shown in the reaction equation:
3NaHCO3 + C6H8O7 → C6H5O7Na3 + 3H2O +3CO2
However, CO2 produced by this method may contain some acid mist, often failing to meet the specified CO2 standards.
Therefore, further purification treatment is required during production. The CO2 production system by acid-base neutralization mainly consists of a CO2 generator, floating gas storage tank, pressurization, and purification treatment.
2.Liquid Carbon Dioxide Production Process:
This preparation device comprises a CO2 generator, floating gas storage tank, compression, drying with a compressed air dryer, adsorption, molecular sieve drying, liquefaction, storage filling, filling, electrical control, etc. It is used to recover CO2
generated during chemical reactions, purify it for use. The specific process is as follows:
Citric acid reacts with salt to produce citrate, water, and CO2. The CO2 gas is compressed to 2.0 MPa by a three-stage oil-free CO2 compressor. To ensure the stable operation of the CO2 compressor, an airbag is installed between the CO2 compressor. The compressed gas undergoes further purification through a compressed air dryer, an adsorption tower, and a drying tower. The purified CO2 gas is condensed into liquid at -18°C in a CO2 condenser; the cooling source of the condenser is provided by a condensing unit. The liquid CO2 enters the storage tank for storage. When the user needs gas, the liquid CO2 is pressurized and heated by a vaporizer to become CO2 gas, which is then depressurized to the required pressure and temperature by a pressure reducing valve for use. If filling is required, users need to select a filling pump to transfer liquid CO2 from the storage tank to steel cylinders. Therefore, further purification treatment is required during production.
